Belt in a Dream in Islam: Meaning by Ibn Sirin

In Islam, a belt in a dream mostly points to support. The collection attributed to Ibn Sirin says: “The belt is a father, a brother, an uncle or a son. It also stands for a leader one relies on.” A plain belt announces the support of a noble man. Receiving a belt from a king and tying it around the waist speaks of the length of life.

The collection speaks of the belt (al-mintaqa) in the chapter on gold, silver and jewellery. Since the belt holds the middle of the body, it makes it the image of the man who supports the dreamer. The meaning changes with who gives it, what it is made of, and what the dreamer does with it.
